CALCIUM CHLORIDE ANHYDROUS

Calcium chloride (CaCl2) is an inorganic salt that is composed of calcium and chlorine. It is a white, crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water and can be used for a variety of industrial and commercial purposes.

Calcium chloride is commonly used as a de-icing agent for roads and sidewalks, as it can lower the freezing point of water and prevent ice from forming. It is also used to melt snow and ice on airport runways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure.

In the oil and gas industry, calcium chloride is used as a drilling fluid to increase the density of the mud and improve the stability of the borehole. It is also used to remove impurities and to control the pH level in the production of natural gas.

Calcium chloride is also used in the food industry as a firming agent, preservative and a source of calcium. It is also used in the production of artificial snow, dust control and as a desiccant to dry air and gases.

In the medical field, calcium chloride is used as a source of calcium for the treatment of calcium deficiencies and to improve the function of muscles and nerves.
